From the Director
Dear Friend of the Press,
A young mother came into our office today. She had helped us collect spare change for our Children’s Gospel Box program. She shared how her son recently found over $4.00 worth of change in the couch and other nooks and crannies of their home.
Print your "National Check Your Couch for Change" poster here.
Hence the birth of NATIONAL COLLECT YOUR LOOSE CHANGE FROM YOUR COUCH MONTH! (Yeah, I know I’m pushing it. Click here to view/print the poster.)
With the economy slowing and donations down, your spare change can help us print free Gospel literature for dozens of nations this summer!
We can send you free loose change receptacles and labels for cans and bottles, OR you can visit the RICE PRINCIPLE page by clicking here and print your own labels. And/or you can send a gift today to help us with a slew of new crate shipments backing up (nations like Vietnam, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Panama and Honduras – just to name a few).
Either way, your prayers and support are greatly appreciated!
Bless you!
Bob Hunt
Director
New Evangelistic Booklet
The Press has just printed a small evangelistic booklet created by evangelist Dan Chesney. With 25 years experience in ministry in 27 nations, Dan and his wife Nori have ministered effectively around the world holding numerous crusades, seminars and leadership events.
After a recent trip to Pakistan Dan writes, “ Just wanted to thank you again for the great job you did on the tract. We have already given away 800 of them, so the Word is going out. Keep on printing, souls are waiting for the only answer to life and death.”
Report from the Philippines
Asia Regional Coordinator Fred Horner and his wife Leah, armed with tons of gospel materials from Missions Press, recently held two training seminars for children’s workers in the Philippines. Thousands of children found Christ as a result.of the resources and training received. Recent crusades held in January in Davao City and surrounding areas, saw nearly 400 children and five parents accept the Lord.
Gospel Resources to the Poor in Pakistan & Bangladesh
“We need to do everything we can to help the
women of Pakistan and Bangladesh,”
declares mission team leader Rev. Melinda Scott.
C-G Box Blessing Invades Tijuana
Just imagine the joy that filled 60 pastors and children´s leaders when some 50 boxes of literature, Jesus DVDs, puppets, Bible lesson sets, Evangelistic Cubes and teaching tools of Children´s Gospel Box materials arrived in Tijuana for the training conference. See the pictures here of the workers ready to go with the CGBox, to their perspective communities for a great harvest for Jesus!
Supervisor Juan & Chela Muzquiz with some of their leaders returned to Tijuana with the CGBox materials after receiving complete instructions from Director Mary Lou Canata and taught their 6 directors and assistants the complete teaching. Yolanda Zalapa has already taught 386 children in their 6 children´s club.
Be waiting for the next update as to the harvest of their labors and your donations to FMP, which make all this possible.
Out of Tracts
Pastor Otto De La Torre, who has written many of the tracts that Foursquare Missions Press prints, just returned from a missions trip to Peru in June, where he and his team visited several churches, high schools and two jails. It is estimated that over the nine days he was there, over 4,100 people made decisions for Christ! Some received Christ for the first time, while others came back to the Lord. There were healings and miracles experienced and the large gathering was broadcast on Peruvian TV.
They brought in thousands of various Spanish FMP tracts, but they weren't enough! The pastors there started photocopying our "Chained" tract! ("Encadenado" in Spanish.)
On a side trip, a team led by Danny (a young man that Otto introduced to the Press) evangelized two towns in Michoacan, Mexico and founded a church.
Winning Uruguay For Christ
Sidney da Silva was designated as president of the mission in Uruguay in 2004 and the work has grown from 1 to 6 churches with 540 members. A church has been planted in Montevideo the capital city of over 2 million habitants. Evangelism, church planting and leadership training are the major focuses on which the literature you send us facilitates our labors in winning Uruguay for Christ.
